ABOUT THE AUTHOR / PHOTOGRAPHER:

Samantha Cora is a writer and photographer with a fascination for the natural world. She grew up exploring the woods and waters around her family farm and cabin in Wisconsin, writing stories and taking photos for more than two decades. She is also the author of the rhyming informational fiction picture book for ages 4-8, “Waverly Braves the Breeze: The Story of a Galápagos Albatross” (Tra Publishing, 2024). She lives in Madison, a place the Ho-Chunk Nation has called Teejop since time immemorial, with her family and many backyard animals—some of which are featured in her mini photo book collection (2026). A portion of sales will be donated to local environmental and literacy nonprofits.
